These boots were made for ..........planting!

Is it a pot or real boots?

1 Jul, 2009

It's a pot. They look very real but I wouldn't want to wear them as they would be very uncomfortable especially as they are joined together. Good for the 3-legged race though!

These wellies go on my favourites in the GoY official wellie photos collection. Thank you. Lol.

Where can this Welly Hall of Fame be viewed be viewed?

1 Jul, 2009

Lol. If you go to my home page and click on my favourites ~ favourite photos, you'll see that just about every footwear item photographed by GoY members is included there...
...amongst the photos of budgies... and sausage trees... and Flower Pot People... Lol.

Exactly what I thought when I read that they were joined together, Lily...3-legged race :) Cute pot. I have a Wellie pot but mine is old and not looking so hot any more :(

So cute. I think it's a sweet potato plant.

Nice! Love the plant too!

Thanks everyone, the plant is about twice that size now and looks even better. Have found the label, it's called Ipomea Iposun but an annual I suspect.

Love it Lily ! :))

Thanks Sue, the planted wellies were a present from my youngest daughter last year. The plant was an impulse buy and needed a tall light coloured pot to show it off. The wellies were perfect ( and empty at the time). The plant is now nearly touching the toes!

Lovely. Really dark leaves.... does it flower ?

1 Sep, 2009

No, no flowers and I think it's an annual but I might try to overwinter it indoors. It's worth a try. The leaves have gone slightly greenish now but still very dark. That's probably because full sun would be better but I like it next to the yellow Choisya Sundance.

Don't think we've got much chance of Mr.Sun putting in many more appearances now Lily and I think it looks lovely keeping Sundance company :) You could call it Butch ! lol :)

Well I just answered you Sue but it's not here so I must have forgotten to press 'submit' yet AGAIN! Try again.
Lol That's brilliant! Been sunny all morning but getting darker by the minute now so better go and get the washing in. Don't know if it's clean as after I hung it out I found the wash tablets and conditioner still on the side ready to go in!! It's that old 'forgetting' thing again, two in one comment oh dear :o((((
