Garlic before planting

Hi Vera,
This was taken just before I sowed the garlic. I laid the individual cloves out before digging holes for them so I knew that they were spaced evenly. I planted the cloves about 1-2 inches deep.
The garlic I bought (Thermidrome) just said to plant in Autumn, so October's fine and we're cooking with the harvest from the bulbs photo at the moment :o)
If you're planting garlic, you'll be better off buying garlic to grow from a garden centre. The garlic from supermarkets is normally from warmer climates and won't grow successfully in the UK.
I hope that helps :o)
