Tell me about it, i'm close to the sea and its mostly always windy here even in summer we get a breeze coming of the irish sea :o))

its the one thing i hate about the sea...... the awful wind you get , usually when the tide changes......you have to be careful what you grow dont you... my sunflowers nearly get blown over in the summer.... i always say im not growing them again. but end up growing a few... : O ))

My sunflowers dont do very well either wonder if the dont like seaside, but like you i keep growing them, never learn do we well i dont :o))

I do like your row of wheelbarrows, Holly. I thought they were joined together :)
I grew short multi-branched sunflowers last year which didn't get buffetted about. I believe if you nip off the tips of taller ones they will branch out too.
