The Galloping Gormet

The Galloping Gormet came and did a talk at our monthly garden club meeting last night – it was wonderful!! He has such energy!! It’s funny – I had heard of him from my grandmother (she never missed a show), but I myself had never vested the time into seeking him out either on TV or in books. I was impressed enough to buy a copy of his newest book last night called “Growing at the Speed of Life” and from what I have read so far, it’s a definite keeper. At the meeting he talked about how he has spent the last several years learning to cook and eat healthier, and with that has become a gardener – growing his own food. As a budding veggie gardener myself, it should be fun to read his thoughts on the subject. The most exciting part for me are the recipes – I don’t have much trouble growing the veggies, it’s figuring out ways to cook them that throws me!! Hopefully Mr. Kerr can help with that!!! :)

Hi Gardennut - I remember him too - rather faded out of site over here though - glad to see he's still going - enjoy your book.

Remember him well, always did his cooking with a glass of wine in his hand.
