Will I get fruit on my supposed self fertile Kiwi? There must be 30+ flowers this year and the bees are doing their business.

Just googled Chinese Gooseberry, yes that is Actinidia, the Kiwi fruit you can buy in the supermarkets. Oh, dear, I really wanted some fruit this year, and last year I threatened it with a FIG!!!!!

Yes edibel Sue the problem is I'm the only one who likes them and you can bet they almost all ripen at round about the same time ,I tried freezing them but didn't like them very much ...

Have you made fig jam? I have done this with overripe figs in France. But a bit of orange peel adds flavour.

I haven't Sue I've gone to the trouble of making jams with fruit nobody else has liked before I'm afraid it usually gets left on the shelves for ever , I've given up its a waste of sugar ;o(

No flowers on our Jenny, and I cannot see if the fig is bearing fruit because it is too tall lol

The stems, bearing flowers, are completely across the front of the car port, they look superb.
