My Urn Plant is finally blooming. I used to have a lot of these in another spot in the yard....I threw many in the trash a couple of years ago. This plant is growing in the ground under the very large Jacaranda tree in the front yard. Photo taken Aug. 8, 2011.

Palmate:
This plant tends to multiply very quickly! Also, the snails love to live in the middle of the leaves.

I love these flowers. I should have another go. I had one in the past, thank you for the reminder.

Greenthumb:
It's a pretty easy plant to grow...as long as it doesn't get too much water. :>)

It looks a bit different than the ones in the florists. Maybe from growing outside? Or is it a different kind?

They pretty much look the same here. I think maybe this photo looks a little dark...as this photo was taking at night.

I was thinking mainly of the shape of the inflorescence.

The inflorescence looks like any other one I've seen blooming in the past.
