Agave species unknown

This Agave has leaves about 9ft (3m) long. The new flower stalk is ~ 30ft (10m) tall already and its still growing. Photo taken on a gorgeous very warm day in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA. on April 10, 2013.

It's pretty similar; however, the one I posted has thorns/ spines all along the leaves.
