It is quite a balancing act as you say, TT! I have to do the same with the two bedrooms as well!
No, Amy, we haven't got a cat. We had some small dogs but they have all died & now we only have a couple of budgies our daughter gave her mum as a Christmas/retirement present last year. We have had them almost a complete year now! :-))

Not to much danger of the plants getting knocked off then Balcony unless the budgies fly at the window !

No, no danger at all in fact as the budgies never leave the living room & there are no Amaryllis in here at present. I do bring plants in as the flowers start to open so we can enjoy their brief two weeks of flowers.
