Wow that's lovely, not something I have in mine, I'm getting quite scared by the amount of water soldiers rising to the surface, looks like the green bins will be full again once emptied!!

Sorry Karen yes as Siris says green council compost bin mine are all full already or they'd go in there, they're a floating pond plant that sinks to the bottom of the pond in winter don't know what they do down there!! but in the spring when they rise up again they practically cover the whole surface, have small white flowers too.

Do you grow your water hawthorn in a separate pot to your lily? I have always had mine in the same pot but this year it's been a disappointment so have ordered new plants.. (Which I'll have in separate pots)
