Oh these are superb Sheila & a lovely spread of cyclamen hederafolium leaves. Is this your garden? I would love to see a photo later in the year when the cyclamen flower. I popped a photo up of cyclamen coum in flower now, love these plants. Also I planted two betula jaquamontii 3 years ago so still a year or two before we get the white bark.
Nice to see the strong tree shadow indicating sunshine.

Thanks - well spotted, Shirley and Bampy. Yes, even prettier when the pink Cyclamen come into flower!

Oh Sheila!...I'm green with envy. We are being snowed in at present....we have six inches on the ground and another six to come before it's over. Think of me and hug your cyclamen!

Thank you! They've spread pretty well over the years, all by themselves :)
Sorry to hear about the snow, Lori, and hope you won't mind too much if I DON'T think about it. :(

LOL... Happy that you don't have to think about it, Sheila! Cheers!

I'm blushing now . . . or perhaps that's because I've just started on the red wine??! (well, the sun WOULD be over the yard arm if I had one, :-))

red wine this early ~ i would be asleep!

Only a sip or two honest . . . when you're cooking Corroborree Hotpot you have to - it's a law - because the smell wafts round the kitchen for an HOUR AND A HALF before it's ready.
5 Feb, 2011
that sounds like a recipe worth having but i dont know where you buy corroborree ~ even my lovely supermarket doesnt have any of that!!!
5 Feb, 2011
perhaps it's an aboriginal name ??
5 Feb, 2011
what does it have in it? did you find it on your australian trip?
5 Feb, 2011
No - it's in a very old and tattered book of one-pot recipes (that's my sort of thing). Just an onion and a cooking apple, casserole beef, curry powder, tin toms, stock, sultanas and seasoning (+ marg to start, and bit of flour with the stock). If this doesn't work, I'll give better quantities . . .
6 Feb, 2011
no that will work, nice curry - thanks!
how long have you been growing that patch of snowdrops? i have a few little clumps which i love but im hoping they will spread out over the years - im thinking of buying one or two to help them out a bit?
6 Feb, 2011
That's good. My time-lapse memory is unreliable, but I would think they've been in for at least 5 years . . . maybe 7?? Started with 50, in the green.
