Bougainvillea ‘Cranberry’

Not sure the real name of this Bougainvillea, but cranberry sounds good to me. It’s from a cutting from my friend’s large vine two years ago. Photo taken November 14, 2023.

Thank you! I really like it. It’s staying in a pot, because Bougainvillea grows out of control very quickly.

These gorgeous plants always remind me of a holiday in Malta where there were so many different colours to this genus.

It’s very commonly grown here. So many colors are available. It grows very large and tall. I have pics on GoY of some growing up 60 ft or 70 ft tall palms.

Often see it abundantly flowering in Europe when holidaying.

Thanks! It’s extremely common here and grows out of control many times. I’ll keep it in a pot.
I’ve seen a few growing in southern Europe, but not abundantly the way it grows in California. I’ve read southern Spain has a lot, though.
