Brachychiton acerifolius - Australian Flame Tree

This is a very spectacular tree in bloom. It blooms in spring and summer and has scarlet flowers covering the tree. Pic taken at San Diego State University.

I forgot to mention they loose their leaves before they bloom. That's what makes the tree so spectacular in bloom. Thanks, Marguerite.
Also, this is a relatively young tree, because they can become very large trees.
