This looked stunning last year in my garden with an edging of hoar frost.

That would look pretty Siris. I do not care for the flowers but I like these leaves. I crop it quite a bit every year because they can become woody, leggy and unsightly with age. Same as lavender. It roots readily.

Agree with everything you say, except I like the flowers, smothered in them last year. Mine is tied against a trellis against the garage wall so is over 6 ft tall, trim back the sticky-out branches, so it is fairly flat.
