Are they now? I knew they were deadly poisonous , have to keep the smallest grandchild from touching it!! have just bought a plant that I am going to need your advice about please.

It's the hallucinogenic properties that have led to muppets poisoning themselves with it!!

Just replied on the other thread.

I love these, but not a enough room here to grow them. I used to take cuttings about now to pot on in the SPring.

Lindak did you use heat with your cuttings, as OH needs to take some cuttings....

they were in the large outside greenhouse in the summer and when it turned cooler we had a heater in there.

Dottydaisy2:

Great flower! I hate those darn bugs! lol!

Here in San Diego practically all Angel's Trumpets are eaten by caterpillars, mites and lots of other bugs.

Mine all look pretty bad now. It's too hot for them. They love fall - spring the best.

Has been a very bad year for bugs ans insects, everything in the garden has been nibbled by something....

Welcome to my world! LOL! The giant leaf hoppers which eat everything in sight and the locust, snails, slugs (which are usually not so active in summer, have been very active this summer), sow bugs...then there's scale, mites and the list goes on-and-on. :>)

Glad we are not the only ones!! although that is no compensation is it?

6 Aug, 2012

Yes, you're right. I'v noticed in the last week more bugs than ever. We've been getting very hot and humid weather, this weather really gets many of the bugs chomping on my plants! :>(

It is the Spanish slugs that are driving me mad.....

13 Aug, 2012

I'm glad we don't have the Spanish slug here! I've read it's established in many European countries.
