I love blue flowers, do you know what this one is?

I believe it to be Campanula persicifolia, common name Peach-leaved Bellflower. A white one has also appeared this year and I posted a picture of it on Garden Questions on 10 June under the heading 'Campanula Conundrum' and the answers made it quite clear that this plant is capable of producing both colours, in this case probably from a seed shed by the blue one. I'm really beginning to enjoy gardening!

thanks for that, another plant to add to my "blue garden" look-up list!
"beginning to enjoy"? *s* how long have you been doing it before you began to enjoy it?

When we moved to this property three years ago, I was a total novice and confronted with a garden that was a disaster area due to the ill health of the previous owner and we were faced with a wilderness, I realised that I had to learn pretty quickly and since I began to salvage the garden it has been a real struggle. Only now, after a couple of years of crawling on hands and knees through the undergrowth removing villains and preserving anything that didn't look like a weed, I owe a big debt of gratitude to the GoY menbers who have been an enormous help and my increasing knowledge, painfully gained, is at last beginning to give me some enjoyment.

ah, gotcha. I had a sligtly similar expereince with the courtyard garden I took over - six-foot nettles and such - but at least they were contained in the large beds. It felt like I wasn't getting anywhere for ages - until one day I turned around and hey, I was.
But now you can look at it and think "I did all that" and pat yourself on the back, cos it sounds like you earned it!
