Campsis flowers opening

This is the first time this Campsis has flowered, grown from seed about 5 years. The first 4 pics show a flower opening over about 3 weeks, then the wind blew it off, but there was another one more sheltered, which opened today.

Dd warned me of the size of this in a small garden. If it gets too big like my Passion flower it will be for the chop!
