Carica papaya 'Red Caribbean'

Carica papaya 'Red Caribbean' (Carica papaya 'Red Caribbean')

My Red Caribbean papayas are getting large. I'm guessing they should be ripening in the next couple of months. Photo taken Nov. 3, 2015.

Klahanie:

Yes, the fruit I got off it last year was so, so delicious!

The fruit should be getting fatter. They weren't getting enough water, though.

Last night we had huge thunderstorms for 5 hours and lots of rain (it was record rain for San Diego). This is very unusual; however, we need the rain so desperately. :>))

Sandra:

Papaya is considered an exotic fruit. Although, papaya plants are very common here in San Diego. They usually grow very quickly and produce fruit very young within a year.

I bought one of these today. It said "Red Caribbean"
It is good that you finally got some rain.
