Is this a shrub Barbara its a lovely shade of blue!

Yes, a small one. They only grow to about 2'6" in height. Lovely at this time of year!

I like these plants, have seen a beautiful yellow one with wavy edges do you have it?
25 Sep, 2010
No - but if I see it, I'll find it hard to resist, that's for sure! ;-0

I will second that...lol

Oh dear - not another one to squeeze in somewhere, Dd! &:={

I have come to the conclusion this garden is too small.........!!

Oh dearie me. Not you as well! I'd love a jungly area - I've seen one on here somewhere....now I wonder whose garden it was in??? Hmmmmm...LOL.

You have the room so why not give it a go.........if it works, all well and good, if not what have you lost? Could do with a larger house as well, have no idea where all these tender plants are going, at least you will have a greenhouse to overwinter the delicate plants.......

I haven't, really - it would mean digging up a whole area, and losing those plants.
Alternative? - I don't think OH would be too happy if I dig another area of lawn out somehow! LOL.

Oh well, I am sure you will come to some arrangement........spent all day in the jungle moving plants plants around, just hope it does rain tomorrow to help them settle in, do not want to lose any now.

Of course you don't. I expect your weather is about the same as ours - wind and rain. Your plants will enjoy the rain, at least! I think this garden gets too much wind to be a jungle-friendly place, thinking about it. It's just not sheltered enough. :-((

Our bananas have taken a severe battering today, shredded all the leaves, looks more like a Monstera delicosa now, I did not realize you had a windy garden too, we have been trying to create a microclimate........easier said than done.

Oh dear. All very difficult - it's been a really awful day here. but it's stopped raining at last.

And here, have bought some lovely daylilies from Simbad so hoping to plant them tomorrow, another busy day !!
1 Oct, 2010
That's good - she does have some beauties. :-)))
2 Oct, 2010
Half planted then the heavens opened and it has rained non stop, and tomorrow does not sound very promising either.......
2 Oct, 2010
It 'is' tomorrow - and we've had 11mm so far...more on the way, as it's still raining, with a real gale blowing, too!
