Thanks TT. Do you grow these? I bought the first plant, then grew a whole lot from seed. They germinated very easily - I gave a lot away!

This plant is new to me. Not grown it.
I've just looked up Catananche on your garden lists.
They seem to be in a variety of shades?
I couldn't quite estimate how tall they grow?
Do they self seed around the old plant,
or do you need to collect seeds and sow them?

Hi TT. They appear to come in three colours - C.caerulea 'Major' which is a lilac colour, C.caerulea which is what's in this photo, and C. caerulea 'Bicolor' which is the lovely white with a purple centre. That's the other one I have. From my packet of seeds, I got the last two on this list. They don't appear to self-seed. I haven't tried collecting seeds, but I guess I could have a go! The plant grows to about 2'6".

Your flower in the photo is lovely. Interesting that there are several colours.
These are taller plants than I had imagined.
I guess they are at the back of your border?
If you've posted a photo of these in your garden,
photographed from a distance,
please tell me where to find the pic. Thanks.

Are you going to collect seeds and have a go?
Please report progress.
Maybe even a little blog ~ collection, planting,
then, of course, wonderful, colourful blooms :o)
Thanks.
