Centaurea montana

meanie

By Meanie

Centaurea montana (Centaurea montana (Berg Centaurie))

Although they're a little invasive, I do like these.

I love the flower on these but dislike the plant...if that makes sense.

I do like it, but it certainly needs an eye keeping on it!

I think anything that can pop up randomly elsewhere in our gardens is rather fab!! I have these springing up all over and I love them, so do the bees, which is more important.

I have had a pot of them for a few years..paler flowers and i've never found them growing anywhere else??

Are these cornflowers, but the tall one? The leave tend to go a bit mouldy and drop off but the flowers are nice

Grandmage - you haven't seen my new garden then!! It's a living advert for avoiding self seeders!

Moti - are yours almost sky blue? I've seen them in someones garden somewhere.

That's the one Sheilar.

Very fond of these even though they seed around, easy to get rid of though.

See who else is growing Centaurea montana (Berg Centaurie).

See who else has plants in genus Centaurea.
