Cercis chinensis 'Don Egolf'

I like the small size of this redbud and really like that it doesn't produce the ugly seed pods that cover most redbuds in the fall. I'm growing this as a small tree but it takes a lot of pruning and staking to keep it from getting shrubby. This is a much smaller redbud than Eastern redbud, the tree in the picture is three years old and only grows a few inches a season.
