The flowers are very short-lived, Moti - I think I still prefer Cirsium rivulare 'Atropurpureum'.

Added this one to my favourites, what sort of conditions does it like, have not been able to keep CR Atrop lost two so far....!!

Requires full sun and well drained soil. apparently! I did add loads of grit and compost when planting it as I have heavy, cold clay. Remains to be seen if it survives its first winter.
