Twining climber to six feet with very wiry but brittle stems. Beloved of slugs. Needs well-drained soil with the roots in shade. Grown from seed, this was the only seedling that survived. It's now 'discovering' three nearby shrubs!

I have a good size plant of the herbaceous Codonopsis (mollis?), but never managed to take any seed.
