Combretum coccineum - Scarlet Comb

Combretum coccineum - Scarlet Comb (Combretum coccineum - Scarlet Comb)

This is a very beautiful scarlet- flowering vine. I'm not sure what the name of it is. Hopefully, someone can id it. Photo taken June 28, 2014 at Fullerton Arboretum.

You're correct! Thanks! :>)

I've been trying to id this vine for years. I thought it was a species of Clerodendrum. The flowers resemble that of Clerodendrum. Combretum fruticosum (orange flame vine) is a much more common vine.
