Smoke Bush moved to a tub to try and encourage new growth. I'm thinking of putting it into the new border.

I like these and have just bought one for my front garden. This dark colour is lovely.

It has been in the ground for a couple of years and I couldn't understand why it wasn't growing so I dug it up and found that it was well encircled and root bound by the netting put round it which it should have happily grown through - but hadn't so I've taken off the netting and put it in this smallish tub to try and help it along before I pop it back into the garden!

Good luck with it - I hope it thrives now.

Had another look at it today and there is some new growth - so fingers crossed and here's hoping!

What else?
See who else is growing Cotinus coggygria (Smoke bush).
See who else has plants in genus Cotinus.
