This hybrid doesn't bloom very long...maybe it's due to it being a hybrid or possible in a pot and not in the ground.

My neighbor has the common light pink ones (in the ground). They seem to bloom for a longer time and produce many flowers stalks. I hope this one will produce multiple stalks next year.

Yes, we're so lucky here in San Diego! We can grow so many beautiful tropical flowering shrubs and trees. Every month there's something in flower. My African Tulip is flowering. It flowered for almost 4 years straight (which it typically doesn't do). It's one of my favorite trees.
