Thank you both for your comment ♬

Bloomer:
I love crocosmia too. It flowered very well last year but not so well this year (disappointed), which, I think, means it needs to be split up.

Simbad:
Yes, there's always "too" much to do! I also have to move red hot poker this September (daunting). Have you started to trim your laurel hedge? Me too, have to do the same "sometime" -- talk about "procrastination" lol. Do you use a hedge trimmer? I haven't got one, therefore I always use secateurs - quite primitive but our laurel hedge is not so big and it's all right at the moment. But it'll be nice if I've got a machine to do boxes etc.

I've been digging and dividing and moving things for almost a month now. The smaller the garden the more you have to keep on top of any thugs.

Siris,

You sound like you've been so busy and need some rest! I'll do the same starting late September :-(

Yes, the back certainly needs a rest. I do like Bearded Iris, and they like to be divided after flowering, while the soil is still warm, so needs must.

Poor Siris...

I also have some irises to divide, but I've got too much other stuff to do and can't do it now. I divided bearded irises in November in the past and they were alright, therefore I'll work on that later this year or early next year.
