This is an old photo of my currently neglected Cymbidium when it was blooming. This photo was taken on Feb. 10, 2007. Posted for Alexandramou in Corfu, Greece.

I looked at it today...it looks horrible! I will be separating and re-potting it soon. I will be taking much better care of it in the future...I forgot how beautiful the flowers were. I purchased this plant about 20 years ago.

Yes, Cymbidiums can live a long time...every 5 or 10 years they should be divided. My grandmother who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area has many dozen in her backyard...some plants are almost 40 years old.

It appears to be recovering very well. Although, it will be a while before it blooms again (I think).
