I'm not keen on Chrysanthemums either. The white big ones are used for funerals in Japan.

Interesting - and it's not necessarily a group of plants that we fall for, sometimes just a stunning colour. I'd never bought a dahlia in my life until I succumbed to the gorgeous 'blue bayou'.

I did buy a Bishops Child, Dahlia, offspring of the famous Bishop of Llandoff, the slugs liked it as well.

I looked up 'blue bayou' and 'Bishop's child (children)'. I thought they were both unique. I love anything with dark/purple leaves and any flower with pink colour. Shielabub is right; it's really interesting how people fall for certain things. There's no accounting for taste/different strokes for different folks.

Personally, not that keen on Dahlias or Chrysanths for that matter.
What makes someone fall in love with a particular group of plants?
