It will, Hywel!! I know that, because I picked (in other words, stole; he he he) a couple of branches of the succulent last winter when it was really really freezing cold, from outside the gate of a deserted farm house :o)

I myself was surprised to see the serpent-like (or more like pine?) succulent was very hardy. Nobody looked after them outside the empty farm house, exposed to extremes of cold, but they were okay. But I don't know.. If mine dies, I'm going to get some more from the same place :o)
