Thanks, Morgana, very much!
My parents have another Echinopsis, I bought 15 years ago. There were 5 flowers 15,7 inches long snow-white colour! And they had a beautiful scent! All the neighbours came to see it. It was stunning!
Thanks, Jacque for your loving my cacti collection! Hope, you'll have a bigger one, and we'll be able to see yours! :)

I used think they were just prickly things.

Hi, Meanie! Yes, this one is really prickly! :) The plant itself is about 6 inches, and the flower is about 8 inches long and 6 inches in diameter. This kind of cacti nearly always has very big flowers. And the scent...is beautiful!

You have such a wonderful collection. Do you find the Echinopsis flowers very short-lived? and do they ever get pollinated where you are?

Thanks, Wagger! Yes, you are right, the flower of my Echinopsis has lived for less than twenty-four hours! They have got never pollinated, because I have only one flowering plant of this kind. Self-pollination and my compulsory pollination were unsuccessful...:(
