A deeper colour than 'Bowles' Mauve', and I'm told it should stay more compact.

Oh that would be a useful one to have, because the BM does get so untidy......

Thanks, Louisa. :-)
Dd - that's what I thought, too. I have BM in the side garden and it needs to go. I'll see if I can get any cuttings first, of course!

Thank you - I haven't been able to plant it yet as the weather has been sooooo cold!

I grow the purple wallflowers and every two years I take fresh cuttings in the Autumn, keep in the greenhouse and plant them out into the flowerbeds in the spring, as the old plants get too woody.

I have cuttings from one of my Erysimum 'Jenny Brook' in my greenhouse, but I honestly couldn't find suitable cutting material on BM last autumn. I'll take a look before I heave out the other BM to plant this new Erysimum.

I've taken cuttings in July before now Spritz.

I did remove the other BM, but all the growth was woody. However, I stuck a few pieces round the edge of a pot anyway. Nothing to lose, really, is there.
