Mine still hasn't really recovered from the winter before last. I really should spend time cutting away all the dead leaves

Thanks all, mine suffered some damage in the winter A. but not as much as the year before its recoverd quite well though. :o)

Thanks all, I love these i've grown them for years, they are quite hardy but I do fleece them wthe the weather is really severe. :o)

Yes M, the flowers are very similar but the plants arnt quite as spiky. :)

Lovely, just simply stunning. just waiting for the flowers to go blue on ours, I have had this for years and years, and nothing, then three weeks ago the leaves started to go red, will fleece ours if you think we should?

Thats great Dd :o), since mine first flowered it has done so every year except one, I fleece mine when it's really cold just to be on the safe side I would hate to lose it after all the years I've had it. Mine did survive -14 2 years ago under about 4 layers of fleece. :o)

Yes mine looked a blt sad but I trimmed the dead tips back and it came through quite well :o)

mine are sheltering under the weeds around them..after seeing all the lovely pics of it on here i have now weeded around it. thanks for reminding me they were there...lol
