Dinner plate fig has gigantic leaves to almost 5 feet/ 1.5 meters long and half as wide. This very sough after New Guinea tree can be extremely expensive...as much as $500.00 for a sapling.

Meanie:
That's funny! This tree has become more available over the years...however, it's still very expensive because the fruits need a special wasp to fertilize the figs...and they are only indigenous to New Guinea. The only way this tree can be propagated is by air-layering which is very difficult and doesn't always work.
