This large Cuban Laurel tree. This tree 50 feet tall and wide. This tree can actually grow much taller here in San Diego, CA. Photo taken Jan. 10, 2016.

I've seen very large ones in SF Bay Area; however, not this big. This one has an immense circumference. It's difficult to show it in a two dimensional photo, though.
This tree is located very close to San Diego Bay.
It's putting out a lot of new leaves with all the rain from last week.

They get to that height even in cool San Francisco in about 60 years. Why? No frost.
This and Ficus macrophylla can take the coldest temps even here at 37degees north.
But- in hot summer soucals,they can get immense..in Hawaii cover an acre!
