Ficus cyathistipula - Congo Fig Roots

Ficus cyathistipula - Congo Fig Roots (Ficus cyathistipula)

This Congo fig has gotten so huge it needs to be cut back drastically. This tropical tree grows extremely fast here in San Diego, CA. This is some of the roots from the tree. Photo taken June 8, 2016.

They get hard to tame. You just have to make up your mind and take it to the plant.
Getting rid of the foliage and heavy branches in city bins can be slow.

This one has been cut back quite a bit already. I just have to top it and cut a few more branches within the back yard for more light.
