My Vietnamese Gardenia is flowering and has so many new buds at the end of December, it's crazy! Photo taken Dec. 27, 2017.

It's extremely powerful! It smells so, so sweet! Even when the flower fades and dies it still smell wonderful!

Gardenia jasminoides 'Mystery' is still my favorite variety. It has gigantic flowers. The fragrance reminds of my home state of Hawaii. :>))

Yes, this one and my much larger one Gardenia thunbergia (which has much larger flowers) do pretty well here.

Yikes! Gardenias in the house are very, very difficult. All Gardenia species need some full sun to grow well.

If I placed it out side would it survive our winters.

It's highly unlikely this Gardenia would survive outdoors there. Sorry! :>((

No I doubt it would Andy I ve put mine out side now having to take a chance it either survives or dies.

I do know some varieties of Gardenia jasminoides are very hardy.
