I'm amazed that you find a gap, lol.

You'd be surprised, Dawn. My 'gaps' may be small, but I like to fill them! It is a great help in keeping weeds down, for a start.

Oh nice Spritz....thats how I like to see borders.......not an inch to spare....Lovely

I added a new Crocosmia and a Dahlia today, too! hehe - I found several inches to spare, Milky!

That's the secret to weed free borders then! Much better than using ground cover plants to fill the gaps - good idea.

In the top border, it really helps to keep plants upright - they hold each other up! In this wide border, I do support the plants either with brushwood, or those grow-through rings on canes.

You've got everything sorted Spritz - how clever - thanks for that.

Hmm. Something a little more delicate is called for, really, but thanks for the offer, Ian! :-)

What else?

See who else is growing Helenium autumnale (American Sneezeweed).

See who else has plants in genus Helenium.

This photo is of "Helenium 'Waldtraut'" in Spritzhenry's garden
