Pitta:
I really like the pure white hibiscus...does this one
have a fragrance? I know the white ones native to
Hawaii have a wonderful sweet fragrance.

Pitta:
I though it may have been Hibiscus arnottianus -
Hawaiian White Hibiscus. They are very popular
shrubs because they are the only fragrant hibiscus
-- that I know of.

Pitta:
It is a wonderful Hibiscus! I had one several years
ago...it is very easy to grow...and blooms very
profusely with sweetly fragrant flowers all year.
I'm sure it would grow very well in
your tropical rain forest climate.
It is native to the tropical rian forest of Hawaii and can grow
very tall (50 feet/ 15 meters). However, it is usually kept
much smaller.
