Thanks all! It's doing really well...I now have a bag of spent heads, so we shall see what happens! :))

What do you do with the spent heads Karen? Seriously.

To be honest, I wish someone would tell me, Lil. It's the only thing I know to do...I'm just hoping! :)

When I say, spent heads, I mean the bit at the back after the flower's fallen off...

If anyone knows what to do...please tell me!

Ok, that's a start as I was about to go and gather the actual spent blooms. Will keep watching as I'd like to start trying to gather seeds instead of spending $$$$ every spring at the GC. Thanks!

I have just put it on the 'Questions' page, Lil...fingers crossed!

Googled it for you..found this :)

Hibiscus seeds form in the base of the flower after it fades, swells and turns papery-brown; these seed pods contain the seeds. The seeds should not be collected until the flower is dead and the pod appears ready.
If harvesting your own seeds, you will generally see multiple seeds at one time. Hibiscus seed pods contain anywhere from zero to 60 seeds. Ten to 20 is common.
Hibiscus seeds are quite large in comparison to other flower seeds. They are about the size of apple seeds and
have a fuzzy texture. They are sometimes described as hairy.
