I've had this one about 20 years now Dotty. It was planted in the ground when I lived at the cottage and always put on a wonderful show. After 5 years in the border here it had dwindled down to a few leafless stems, I think the clay soil gets far too dry in the summer. It made an amazing recovery after being re-potted in the Autumn and was full of flower the following summer even though I gave it a hard prune.
Lynda I have heard about the rusty nail thing but have never tried it. This is a white Hydrangea so the colour cannot be changed, it just fades to pink in Autumn :o)

Very Nice. I Was Told That If You Put A Rusty Nail In With a Hydrangea It Would Change The Colour. Don't Know If This Is true Or Not. But I Can Bet You Know.
