Iris histriodes 'Lady Beatrix Stanley'

A nice cheerful sight on a very threatening day down here.

not risked them outside slugs would ruin them, they are already active and striping some snowdrops.

The others are popping up daily - there are four there now. :-) So lovely. I think 'Lady B' is my favourite of all the dwarf Irises. Yes, s&s are already 'at play'. Maybe the cold weather will see them off - I hope!

The s&s are still in the greenhouse here. They've just chomped through a Lachenalia flower stem.

Lady B seems to be the early bird, Meanie. I found about a dozen coming up in the flood wall, and only one brave 'Little Gem' elsewhere. What a pain about your Lachenalia. :-(

Yes, I think it's the best of a lovely bunch, Balcony. It lasts for ages.

slugs have razed the side of one of mine :o( still only a spike and not opened yet.
