Iris reticulata Katharine Hodgkin (Iris reticulata)

Bought in packet, first year of flowering. In a pot sunk into the ground. To be turned out into the soil after flowering into a permanent (hopefully) position.

The pot is in the hole in which the Tigridium were growing in the summer, so not sure where they will eventually be put.

I have these in the 4 corners of a bed and they replicate like mad. They are in fact Iris histeroides. I find the slugs quite like them but they put on such a good show the los of an odd one is neither here nor there.

they will be much happier in the ground too.

Correct Dd, Seaburn girl, as Dd said not many places left, and I didn't want to put them on top of some other bulbs, hence in a vacant hole, but I will plant them out.

I have mine stack planted with other bulbs and they don't seem to mind at all. though planting is an excavation in its self to avoid damaging others. :o)

Ha, ha, Sbg. I have actually turned them out today, squeezed them in a nice sunny spot. Put a pot of Tulips into the vacated hole.
