This tall, very old Chilean wine palm is at the Bahia Hotel in Mission Bay, San Diego, CA. Photo taken November 10, 2024.

It’s grown pretty widely in California, especially in Northern California. It has the thickest trunk known in the world.

Redwoods and Giant Sequoias have absolutely massive trunks.
