Yes, it's a pretty vibrant yellow! :>)

It's going to be cut back drastically after it blooms. I've been in a major cutting back mood the last couple of days and I have a mountain of yard waste. The back and front yards were looking like a tropical rainforest, all overgrown. :>)

Do you grow proteas Delonix? They were featured on Gardeners World tv programme this week. They are native to South Africa but just wondered if they would do well in your climate as they like hot sun and dry conditions.

No. However, Protea, Banksia, Leucospermum and Hakea species (all these genera are in the Proteaceae family) are very widely grown here. I have posted many photos in the past.
