Late summer (Autumn) flowering perennial, with Rodgersia aesculifolia on the left, (which has not flowered this year).

Looks much better than mine! I have buds but the foliage is a bit crispy with the dry summer ooops.

Mine is in a north east border, only gets glancing sun, first thing in the morning. I think I have had the plant since 91, found a black nursery label of it in the border.

One you don't know, Amy? Quite reliable. The flowers don't open more fully, than the big one.

Mines in the wood Siris so its shady but think its far to dry in the summer, especially this summer, might have to move it as I don't want to loose it!
91 that's as old as our youngest daughter ;-)
