it says on my tag,, kniphofia red hot poker(torch lily) does that make sence to you sea,,, there seems to be quite alot of different ones then

that is the general name. the Kniphofia bit is the latin name for the genus/group. But as with many things there are variety names and its these I dont have. I just like to know what is what.
Torch lily is a 'common name' and is rather nice dont you think? I can see why it is called that

I explained varietal names to my girls like the different breeds of dogs. lol
they seemed to get the idea of that. biological naming can be so confusing.
