Yes, the Peacock Orchids came from corms and I bought them not knowing anything about them! The perfume is very like those big pink/white lilies and rather overpowering and not my favourite. I prefer the perfume of roses and honeysuckle to be honest. All the lavender plants I have bought here in France although I always thought "French" Lavender had a little "tuft" on the top.

I'll look out for the orchids, over here they sound lovely! Great for your moths of an evening? Yes your lavender looks like Hidcote...I've quite a few of those.....and French lavenders....the Dentata is a beauty but tender, maybe wouldn't survive your winter mountain temps.
