They certainly thrive on the stream bank! One plant is well over 5' high this year...the unpronounceable one. lol.

I really like the ligularias, have always lost them to slugs in the past, might try them again ;-)

My Lobelia cardinalis has been munched once too often - it's given up. :-(( The Ligs are OK, thank goodness. :-))

I got mine last year, Spritz, and it flowered last August, too. Just a few weeks later here with things, of course. :-)

Ha! If you could even 'find' the remains of the Lobelia, you'd be lucky, David...the snails did a demolition job on it. :-(((
