Is this what I used to call "Jacob's Ladder"? I have not seen any for ages and it is so useful being, if I remember rightly, very easy going, although needing a little discipline now and then. Or am I on the wrong track?

Right on all fronts apart from the "Jacob's Ladder" bit which normally refers to polemonium caeruleum another very easy going plant which needs no discipline apart from self-seeding readily.
